I want to get a front end alignment on the Chevy, but she's lowered and when I've tried to get her on a lift (even with 2x4s) it won't work. Anyone know of a place with a pit that I can just drive the car over neither Mansfield (where the car is stored) or Mount Vernon (where I live) or Columbus Ohio (where I work)? Thanks in advance!

How about Cleveland just off I-71 at W140 St. White Wheel, 15207 Lorain Rd. 216-941-2100. They have several pits but am not sure if they can still do alignments from them. Give them a call and explain, they are the best in Cleveland.

just scrape your way on top of it. or find a shop w/ one of the newer type lifts w/ the 4 arms that reach to the frame from the sides.
I used to scrape my way on top of lifts b4 i bagged my car. Or is it so low you dont even reach the ramp w/ your front wheels?

Edit: You can do the alignment yourself by measuring the distance from the spindle to the frame. all you need is a straight edge and a tape measurer. I did mine and dont have any problems at all.

hey, my rack is 7 inches high(above ground) at the drive on surface, i use 6 foot long 2 x 10's shaved at each end to drive up on, havent seen a car i couldnt get on it yet. i charge 69.95 for alignments which includes camber caster and toe, if the car was lowered correctly and there is room for adjustment. i am in toledo off the 80/90 turnpike let me know if this helps.

bonez, yeah, tried one of those... It's a no-go as well... I've got a mustang II front and 4 inch blocks in the rear and it just won't work. Thanks for all the advice, everyone! :D

You don't need a lift for an alignment, sure it makes the adjustments easier, but all any shop needs to do is pull the swivel plates off the lift, and use a jack and jack stands, again a royal pain in the ass.
