Whoa, I'm curious what that flathead V8 is in the second photo. Pontiac/Oakland? Or an early Caddy?

he has some 30's caddy chassis setting around so may be....also he has 3 49 ford trucks that arnt to bad.....also has a 30's aa flatbed with a late 40's flathead and some banger motors with some speed parts
Im going to try and get at the parts in the cases and he has a ton of vintage trophies setting around
the story is the guy that owns all this has fell and broke his hip and looks to not recover from it so the brother has taken over his estate and is going to sell off most or crush it and the money is going to the kids

It's up to you to see that nothing gets crushed.
You best get over there and make an offer on the entire place if the right price can be had (before they start shopping the estate and it ends up in auction). Get a loan, partner up with a few close car friends. Buy it all. Keep some, sell some, make a few bucks.

The (Allard-esque) Caddy sports job kicks ass!

I want to say the custom was a car featured in one of the little pages. Perhaps Rodding and Restyling?

He didn’t really seem interested in the chassis so I’m sure I can get them at a reasonable price

I'd think your best bet is to buy it all as one package rather than pick and choose, that could get too involved and nit-picky.
Sounds like you need a partner or two with the knowledge, interest and funds to make it work.

Did you ask how much for all of it?

This is how I get most of my cool stuff, walk into a place, agree on a price and pay up.

I'd be interested to buy the lot, PM me if you want to partner on it.

I have not found the car yet in any of the ones I have but it seems very familar. Maybe it was copied off the one we're thinking of if nothing more ?It's still period and cool if not cool period. Goodluck with the find.
