Excellent forum.. Lots of knowledge here.. My name is Grant Corry from Western Australia. Im a third generation mechanic by trade. The Grandfather and my Dad started the towing business in the fifties from the Shell service station when dad was an apprentice. Hopefully the photos upload ok. they were taken in the early 60s and the trucks they ran were "Jailbar" Fords, 1.5 tonne and 3 tonne with Servex or Apac Jibs (Aussie copies of Weaver cranes) or bodgie home made ones.... I bought a nice resto 3tonne Jailbar a few years ago and at the moment Dad & I have stripped down the original 3tonne Servex crane off his old jailbar that we'll rebuild so that we can eventually build a copy of Ol' #2... Hope youse like the pics n I'll upload more when I get one of those scanner thingys....

thanks man.. i'm havin trouble tryin to upload photos.... computers are new to me... got some cool ol school west aussie photos from the 60s, dads tow trucks (jailbar fords) smashed customlines, FJs, EHs.... BRAND NEW... and when i get a scanner i've got pics of granddads '20s BUICK ROADSTER.... that got yer attention eh???? Nice 48/49?? gotta love the teeth. if it was mine I'd call it Dr Teeth lol...
