no paperwork in Ca.

    I have a 28 willys knight with no paper,It was last registered in71 so it should be out of the system.Anyone know how to go about getting pink on it?

    go to DMV web site print of Vin Verification paper work w/ application for new ***le. fill out app. then have an officer or hwy patrol inspect and sign off on vin #. then if the car is clear your all good.

    Having an old registration card will help a lot. You will be able to keep the old plates that way. other wise it's YOM only...

    I just registered my '53' International that was out of the system. As already stated you need VIN verification (my DMV office in Lancaster, CA did that) and it also needed a brake / headlight inspection ($85.00 at a local "approved" mechanic shop). Not difficult, just be patient and work through paper work. Lots of times depends upon person you get at DMV on how pleasant or not the process. All the hoops are just to make sure car / truck is safe to drive and not stolen. Kind of makes sense in today's world.
