Lets see some vintage hot rod trucks!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HotRod28AR, May 2, 2005.

  1. I found what looks like a '30/31 Chevy pickup in some guy's back yard (looks just like a Model A). Still have to see if he will sell it though. Anyone have pictures of fenderless, chopped and channeled old trucks?

Do a search. There's been a couple of good lengthy posts on trucks.

Hey RoadDevil do you have any other pics of your truck? I'm building a 39 dodge, which has the same cab. Love to see some more pics, esp. of the cab an the chop. Looks good!

Hey, what frame setup are you running on that? Did they have a parallel leaf on the front?

Not chopped, still have the fenders, but was build in the late 60's so the vintage part is correct.

it is original frame completely boxed, frame is also z'd in front & behind the cab. The Cab is channeled 6” over the frame....parallel leaf spring set up front and the two link with coil springs in the rear

Thanks for all the inspiration guys...here's a photochop of my 37 dodge pickup, I'm collecting parts now and hope to actually get started kutin and weldin in the next couple weeks.

Oh yea...it's not fenderless yet, but it will be, sorry if stepped out of bounds.

  20. Leave the fenders on it and that big ***ed bumper. If you make it look the photochop you'll have a winner.

    That's just sick.:D:D:D
How's the duece commin? Did you find that air cleaner? I forgot to ask my buddy, but I got to talk to him today.

Here's my '29 C-Cab flatbed. Engine is a B with an original CRAGAR head, '48 juice brakes, genuine Stromberg-Bendix intake (1931), headers, '35 wires, Remund Ignition, Borg-Warner T-5 transmission, open drive line, F-100 steering box and dropped headlight bar/stock headlights.

Just received all of the sheet metal to make a "super cab" that is 7" longer in the rear corner panels. The C-Cab will disappear and I will keep the flatbed.

Hey guys, I'm missing a loading ramp for the bed of my truck. You know, the kind you can load motorcycles and 4-wheelers with? It's about 12" wide and about 6-7' long.......

Here's Bruce Lane's, built in the Early '60s in Maine. Trophy taker at the '62 AutoRama. Bad *** and Hemi powered.
