Hey guys so the story goes, my car was ordered by the owner of the caddy dealership in 56 for his wife. I bought it from there who was a ****bag and never got any info on the dealership and I am just trying to see anyone knows the name of the dealership and the family name. My car is a 56 cadillac sedan Seville 4 door hardtop with all the options. 60k original car. The story was she died in 72 roughly and the car sat in storage until 2008. So what's the dealership name, then and now and does anyone know the family name from the mid 50s? Any help is appreciated! Cookie
pic from last year PS: thanks for bursting my bubble Cole i was hoping someone actually had some info for me.... GAH
there used to be a millerberg-brown dealer , a ed higgens , p.e. ashton , and the harmons dealer , harmons is the only one still running and they are in provo , maybe they can shed a little light , nice car its gourgeous good luck with you quest
THANKS! Fisher was the last name of the original owners and the car was registered in D****r Utah in 1972. That is the last records i have for the car and also the last year it was driven until i bought it.
There is a "Fisher" I know in D****r (I used to live there) that collects cars and has had tons of stuff over the years. He was partial to picking up 4 doors. I don't know of any "Fisher" that was a Caddy dealer, nor do I know of a Caddy dealer ever in D****r UT.
Mac is trying to help me with more info. Anyone else have any info on the caddy dealership in the 50s in Salt lake city or surronding area?
okay so i found out it was bought from a caddy dealership in Utah but sadly Mr. Fisher did not have all the answers there. Anyone know any of the 1956 cadillac dealerships in Utah. I cannot imagine there being many at all?
I'm quite surprised that there isn't a cast potmetal nameplate somewhere on the car naming the dealership/city. Especially considering the car was purportedly the owner's wife. Any unexplained mounting holes at bottom of trunk? Being as how you're not in UT, I guess you can't go into the local newspaper archives for the mid-50s and look for car ads...or the local library. Best of luck to you
It's a stretch put here is a picture of a Cadillac Dealership from 1912. Maybe they were still operating in '56 ???
It's a stretch but here is a picture of a Cadillac Dealership from 1912. Maybe they were still operating in '56 ???
'55 has a piece of paper in an insert on the radiator support with owners' name etc. on it, would think '56 is the same way.
Rusty you are correct but mine still has the card from the factory that has a caddy emblem and says insert owner card here
