Sometimes i wonder why I'm even going with a Cad V8..Took the 55 President out in this killer weather in California this evening after fine tuning it after its long winter storage..For those who dont know..I run a 55 Stude President 2 door Coupe with a 62 289,T 10 4speed,3.31 Twin traction Dana 44.These cars are really light and fly pretty good.anyways,Was crusuing it easy with the hood off..when this late model Convertible Mustang GT comes flying by..I thought hmm prey!! I finally catch up to him at a light about two miles up.he had one passenger in the front and one in the rear.Looked like some pretty boy Surfer dude.He starts throwing revs with his Flowmasters..I give him a few of the Well built solid lift cammed 289 with duals...Light changes I dump the clutch around 4500 no tire spin I'm gone ...I shift into third and look in my rear view hes a few cars back..so i just let off..he finally comes hurling by at what must have been an easy 90 mph in a 35!! I was feeling proud of my victory..and at that point i see a cop who was writing out a ticket to someone else....I thought shit he must have heard that racket..the mustang goes around a corner and nearly looses it the cop runs to his car and chases the SOB down...I had to see this..so I follow a ways back...And sure as shit he pulled that green Mustang over!! hahahaha!! I feel kinda sorry for him.... ..ah screw it... no I dont that was hilarious!!
Looking good. Iv'e always loved the body style of the old Studes. Back in the late 60's my friends dad ran a 53 Stude on the dirt tracks in central FL. He put Packard engines in them and most always won. He drove the Ford and Chevy guys Nuts!!
good thing you didn't get caught...big ticket. Isn't it nice to beat a "technologically advanced" car? Great story dude.
I know it wasnt a wise choice, but I couldnt let that whimp thing he had something over the Stude!!! Oh man!! Blowing the doors off any late model,is what makes this all the better!!
