OK,now the count is 93 for 5w and 65 for the 3w,as best i can figure. Both are bitchin cars and given a chance someone who prefers 3w s is not going to pass on a 5w and vice versa. All this is,is a preferance,so no need on some getting a little pissy!

The 3-Window is King, but I like 'em both. This is what a "dealer option" hot rodded version might have looked like back in the day.

Guess I can answer and be a legitimate part of this as I don't presently own a 32 coupe.

My choice is the 5 window hands down. Full fendered, 1 1/2 " chop so subtle you have to wonder, chopped or not.
    Early 392 hemi powered.

Obviously we have a bunch of 32 Coupe owners who can't read. ;)

(You current ’32 coupe owners stay out of this.. Your already biased!)

They ALL have a windshield ... so if you do not count the windshield ... you get a 3W or a 5W :D :D

The 32 3W coupe bodies were made for Henry Ford by Murray Body Company ( US models ) The DeLuxe coupes are roomier and with the sucide door ... were a LOT easier for a lady to get in the coupe and still be a lady.

A few Canadian 3W's were built by a company in Canada. ( Candian Top and Body ) There are some substanial differences. The body number has nothing to do with the VIN number :) The 3W body was only available in the DeLuxe version. They got the better quaility glass, nicer upholstery, a cigar lighter, a ash tray in the dash and a glove box. ALL things the 5W did not have. The 3W came with a woodgrained dash. Cowl lights and two tail lights. Leather covered door pulls, door mounted arm rests, The DeLuxe coupe was the only 32 Ford closed car to come with a chrome windshield frame. The seat tracks had more front to rear travel than a 5W. The rumble seat DeLuxe coupes have a remotely controlled rumble lid latch ( the 5W's do not ) . The 3W has different ( from a 5W ) inside and outside door handles

  19. I've had both. I had a three window back in the fifties, when 3 windows or suicide doored '34s were for "dorks"... My three window had an unplanned door opening, of course. Really screws up the hinges!

I waited 45 years for this one. It's glass, too. I've had enough of old rusted, work hardened steel.:(

For a '32 the five window is the best looking one. A three window '32 looks funny to me..now a '33+ is a different story. Three window all the way for that route..

5W because there are too many 3W out there and nobody is reproducing a 5W.

<---- My answer is to the left and up a little... Gotta stick to my first Hot Rod, all stock steel, with slightly widened rear fenders to keep everyone guessing if it was chopped.

  29. Mildly chopped, full fendered five window for me!

I go with the 5 window, I relate to them as they were the ones I rode in. A buddy had a 3 window, really a good one, a project, but he sold it . Next time we seen it it was full of louvers, fenders, and all, turned into a drag coupe.
