350 th trans ?

i have this 350 th im installing in my IH project. was working on installing my floor shifter cable and i cant move the selector lever out of low gear. anyone have any ideas what could be the problem. im have no clue when it come to internals of a trans as i never had the oppertunity to dig into one. thanx

 

Disconnect the cable at the lever on the trans. If the lever moves, your cable is stuck. If the lever won't move, pull the pan and find out why.

 

its not the cable, so i will drop the pan off and see whats going on in there.

 

There are a few rods that slide off of the lever arm, and some detents coming off of the shift lever.

I have seen them "shifted" past the end of the detents and get jammed.

 

got it working now and cable hooked up. never noticed it but the pan was banged up right at that spot and it pushed the screen up into the internal linkage
