I like the car front clip also. May build another truck in the future.
What did you have to modify to get the car front clip to fit?

Hmmm, now I'm wondering what the pickup clip would look like on a passenger car...:)

I had to cut the fenders in the middle of the wheel opening. So the front half of the fender is car and the back half is pickup. I left the belt line of the car on the front half and put it on the pickup fender. The rear half of the pickup fender I had the heat and shink the the bump out of it and make it flat. The grill has a extra bar in it. The bottoms of the front fenders are the bottoms of the pickup fenders welded back on. I used the pickup radiator support. I wish I would have taken more time on it now. Because it worked out better then I thought it would. At the time I started this I was in a hurry and just wanted a old beater that I did not have much time in

  6. ....and thats what you have. You're just a little confused because the truck came out better than you thought! :D
Be happy with it and drive the wheels off it. It came out great!

    Great work!
Wonder how a 53/54 Chevy car front end would look on a 47-54 Chevy pickup? Anyone up for some photoshop?

Great job!!!:) I had to go back and look at it several times just to try and see what you were up against with the fit, and that's just the stuff we can readily see.

Every piece on the front end was altered some how. There is no bolt on anything. It's all cut and fit then weld heat and shrink.

haha, I was thinking the exact same thing!

truck looks great, even better if you can get the rear fenders to match the front feature lines.

I had to really look hard at it, like when you go to the zoo and see some exotic critter for the first time.

You know what? I like that front end better on the truck than on the cars! Also better than any custom treatment I've ever seen before on these year trucks. It's a winner!

can you clarify how much of the original nose is still intack. It is just a grill swap or did you slice the whole front section.. The more I look at this, the more I realize i am not very familar with the factory sheetmetal on the 47 PU

Very Cool! I wish I had an old beater like that. I like it and in the frontal pictures it looks a little GMCish.

It takes allot of cutting and welding. Nothing on it is a easy bolt on. The fenders are cut it the center of the wheel well. Front 1/2 is car back 1/2 is pickup. The grill has a extra bar in it. The hood I just use the nose off the car hood and welded it to the pickup hood (it's something I'll redo some day because I have a better way now)

Looks Bitchin', but I gotta agree that F-1 rear fenders would really balance it out. Nice job.
