I use lacquer primer and always over mix. I don't like to leave it in the gun and store it in Qt. glass jars. A wreck waiting to happen.
Is there any other container. I don't have any empty primer cans.

    Pasta sauce jars! :)
    You do like pasta, correct???

  3. X 2 on the pasta sauce jars, also if the paint does not fill the jar to the top, drop in some glass marbles till it's full. That will eliminate the air that will cause it to skim. When you use the primer later just clean the marbles and use em again next time or add more if there is still some left.

I think most paint vendors will sell you new, clean paint cans.

Why buy cans when can get the (throw away) sauce jars for free??? You could buy canning lids for those dirt cheap at any of the local hardware stores....

Ace Hardware sells new Qt cans with lid for about $1 or $1.50. :)

If you are storing laquer primer that has been thinned, it will settle like clay at the bottom. You need to stir the heck out of it. In case you did not find that out already. :)
