Based on past experiences with strippers, I reckon I'll have better luck, fewer hassles and way less drama sticking with my dog.

sounds good, there is going to be some funny cars running in the grudge racing, thank god Barrona is on an Indian Reservation, ya can make all the noise ya want, They tried to pull the noise polution bulshit like they did to the poor guys at Fontana, but the bulshit did'nt stick, Barona is a soverien Indian Nation, Barona is the last race track that is left in SanDiego county,

I will be there! This is my favorite show. Not just because it's close to my house either! Had a wedding to go to last year. Only plus about missing the show was that I still got to be drunk at the wedding.

won't be long now, as a side event the rumble royale will be happening at the king of clubs, the age old question of ford versus chevy will get answered once and for all.

i also heard rumors of a flathead on nitro

A guy from santee is bringing a flathead rail, A guy from L.A. is suposed to bring one too, the BeanBandits are trying to find some tires for Joaquin's old rail, hopefuly we will get at least two, so we can pair them off and have a bitch'en race, The other drag strip gossip is that Marky from the Shifters has dialed in the Purple People Eater, and will be competing in the full race catagory (El Mas Chingon) as well as a bunch of new gassers that are coming out, Looks like Butch and Dale are going to have their hands full, for the King of Clubs ( street class, Ben Fields from the Lifters , just finished an "A" coupe that he will be racing, as well as Willy from the Cruzedors will be breaking in his new roadster, Rich Benson from the Cat Killers will have a lot of new competetors this year, let's see if he can hold on to the coveted King of Clubs title , one more time, The Bean Bandits have been the winners of the flathead class three years in a row, hopefuly we will get some more flathead cars running this year, Meat Ball will be defending the fastest vintage bike title and we are trying to organize some vintage mini bike drags durring the lunch break, who ever wins will be racing Hudson Joe's hop up go Kart.

Well it took a few years but I finaly talked Acme John in to comming down, so San Diego guys, here is your chance to buy a cool Acme shirt, we are going to have over 40 vendors this year, Intake Ed will be bringing his cool speed equipment, Ben D is suposed to come down with some goodies from MO. the vendors will be on the south side of the track behind the bleechers, they will be some pinstripers, chick stuff , car parts so please support our vendors. If any one is comming down the 101, remember to take the 134 and then take the five, because the 405 is going to be closed where it meets the 10, south of that , the 405 shouldent have any problems.

As you all know, Drag Racing is a dying sport, In the seventies, when big money got involved, it pushed the little guys out of the way that would build a car in their garage, add to that, The land developers that have been buying up all the tracks to build homes on . The purpose of this show is to promote drag racing to a younger generation, and I am happy to say that more and more drag racing shows have been popping up across the nation, once again you are starting to see the general public getting involved in this great sport, Our club does'ent make a penny from this show, and our share of the profits are spent on the bands, we are trying to keep the cost of the show down so everyone can afford to attend, one of the things that help is that we don't hire a bunch of security guards, besides saving money, it makes the show fun, especialy when you don't have a bunch of security personel telling you what to do, but this freedom has a price, it 's up to us to police ourselves and be responsible for ourselves and our friends, we are all guests of the Barona Indian Reservation , and as guests we should respect them , the people around us , and ourselves, party all you want , but don't bring DRAMA to the show, if you want to do a burn out , do it on the track and not on the show grounds, if you have a grudge with some one , handle it on the track with a race , and not with a fight, Be respectful of the people around you , and they will be respectful of you, I am prowd to say that we had a huge turn out last year and not one single fight, let's try to keep it that way.

My favorite part of the show is the Butch and Dale race, nothing like gassers doing wheel stands and hauling ass.

You can take the 15 to the 78 east and go that way...Or there is a back way off of the 76 east through the reservations I think. You would end up going through Julian I think then Ramona. Not sure whats faster between the two.

I got excited about the races since I haven't been to nostalgic drags since Carlsbad Raceway...Closest is through Ramona to Wildcat Canyon according to my map book.

If any body does'ent want to camp out and is looking for lodging, the Riviera Oaks Resort has cheap rooms , just tell them you are going to the barona race track, they are 3 miles north of the track, they are also rooms at the Barona Casino , they are lots of hotels in ramona, aboat 7 miles north of the track, as well as el Cajon 11 miles south of the track.

If there is something I hate is 10 dlls hot dogs at a show, so for you that are not bar-b-queing , they are cheap hot dogs and bugers at the show as well as some Greek food, ,kettle corn, and this year a guy is going to be selling bar-b-que pork and beef plates for around 7-8 bucks, and frosty's

There are nice bath rooms with running water, but please guys try not to trash them. and if you did bring glass bottles, keep them in your car, every year we get guys getting flats cause some jackass left a glass bottle on the ground, use plastic cups.

See all you guys in the am. No go on tonight, had to sneak in a skate session while down here in SD. My batteries are charging and I'm just a quick pit stop @ sonic, away from the track!
