I've never met any of the members of the Bryant family but I've read about them since they were still racing the Pierson brothers Coupe, such a special group of people, makes Barrys p***ing so much sadder. Condolances and prayers going out to all that knew him.

Late in the afternoon we were also running the long course. There were a couple of spins. Our car went thu a couple of cars ahead of the wreck, our driver said the salt was not good at that time, he had to pedal between 4 and 5.

We were loading the car on the return when it happened. Very sad.

Just read through these messages. Thanks for the good words...there are none that takes away the pain, but it did help after I was able to come to grip with the fact that it was not my fault. Wind was Barry's foe...the car was as safe as we could make it. Caught in a whirlwind that cause a violent crash that no one would have survived. The diagnosis was blunt force to the chest (from the shoulder harness I ***ume).

I was standing at the starting line when he took off that day. Cool car. Devastating crash and put a big bummer on everything else that day. Sorry for your loss. Welcome to the board. Stick around. You will enjoy this place. I would like to see any B-ville pictures you would like to share. Never tire of the salt.

That's another reason why I retired from Land Speed Racing.
