When did Kelsey Hayes Magstar wheels first appear?

Anyone know the earliest date that Kelsey Hayes MagStar wheels were offered? Anyone got an old ad in the back of a magazine or any kind of history? I've done some internet searching but it seems like it only turns up pages on Shelby restorations.

I know they were available as early as '66, but I'm trying to pinpoint their first availability. Trying to decide what wheels I'm going to run for the Symco Shakedown and I can't figure out whether these would fly or not.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated, because if they're too new I have to redrill a set of wheels and I'd like to avoid that if I could.

I am familiar with the name but I am not familiar with the wheel. What did they look like.

Help my hazy old memory out.

Here's a pic of one of the set I have. Mine are actually the Sears Roebuck brand ones, still made by KH but they don't have the rib in the spoke like the ones used on the Shelbys. The chrome on the outers is shot so I plan to use trim rings. I was planning to mount some Vogue-looking whitewall with gold stripe type tires on them, but I'm thinking they're a little too musclecar-y looking. They definitely have a 60's feel, but it'd be nice to know when they were first available.

    I think the ones that came on the 67 Shelby's were 15" ... I had a set of '14's that I ran on my 67 XR7.

Squablow, are these 14's or 15's? And what bolt pattern? Just curious... But here's a MagStar ad I found which leads me to believe that other than being put on the Shelby's and '69 Mercury Marauder X-100's, they were offered in different sizes and bolt patterns.

I've got an NOS set of those center caps in-stock. Wheels were produced by Motor Wheel / Kelsey Hayes after the merger?

If anyone is looking for a set, i may barter for another set of wheels or sell these ones.
