Those are just standard fans in a smaller size. Build your shroud to fit.

  5. Did you scroll down? The sidewinder looks like it would be great in some apps.

i have 2 7/8" to work with. i need a 16" fan that will work in this space. i was a a car show and saw this model a coupe that had an offset motor electric fan . it was not home made and looked to be a flex a lite or spal .the owner was never around .i checked there web site and both have nothing like that. i think the offset motor is a good idea but i do wonder about longevity of it. they have to have a chain or gears to transfwer the motor power to the fan.

that sidewinder looks just like what i needed to run a puller fan because there were clearance issues w the electric motor hitting the water pump pulley so i ran a pusher fan instead !

I installed one of these on a 34 Ford Coupe a few months ago:

I was really impressed with the quality of it, it has a cast aluminum body and motor housing. It barely fit in the application because of how cramped the engine compartment was, but worked very well.

Yes, it is expensive but it solved the problem and works well. Sure beat the other alternatives.

  11. the-fan-man.com is very useful.

I'm running a very narrow, but not offset fan, only had about 3 inches of clearance.
