Hello One and All.. My husband's beloved '39 Ford Deluxe caught fire at the Good Guys Car Show in Columbus, OH on Sat., 7-9-11. He WILL be rebuilding as this car is a part of our family! He has driven his '39 to numerous car shows and events since the late '70's. I would bet that over the years some of you have seen this car at one time or another. It was known for it's beautiful interior. The license plate read "Bob's 39." He will build it again! He is in need of original '39 dash parts as everything was lost. Any leads you have in helping us finds original dash parts will greatly be appreciated. My email address is: ringgoldsaab@yahoo.com To see the fire on-line, you can search: You Tube - Goodguys Columbus Nationals Car Fire. It was downloaded on You Tube on 7-11-11.
Thank you so much. Streetrodder's understand the heartbreak. It's awful! Love the pic of your car. Hey... I'm the owner of a Merc, too. I never take it out of he garage tho. We always take, err, took the '39. I own a '73 red conv. It's all orginal. Even has the 8 track in it! 40 some thousand miles..like I said, I never take it out of the garage. Again, thanks for the response. Be careful on the road!
I saw the car fire on you tube. Sorry, about the car, but glad no one was injured. Good luck on your build. The Rock
