Hey all from northern maine....you know that state up by the weatherman's head.....Great forum hopefully I won't make too many newb mistakes but chances are I will....but such is life. Got hooked on making rusty things pretty again when in high school I did a frame up on a CJ2A Willys Jeep....good times there...not hot rod stuff but it started the addiction.... Currently putting a 59 Pontiac Star Chief 2dr back together.....she came from Kansas and had been garaged since roughly 71....basically nothing missing/changed on her...original 389ci (matching numbers) trans etc etc and about 50 years of grease and oil on the engine can attest to that.... I am leaning in the direction of mostly original with some light modifications just because.....well yea that's what we do.... That was before I started ripping and tearing....I have already torn the front end apart cut a coil out of the springs to drop the nose a little....I am thinking shave the door handles....kind of torn on lake pipes but as I am not going to go too aggressive with the engine don't know if that would be a case of looking good but not having much to back it up..... anyways hello all and I'll catch you on the flip -dan
