My wife just recieved a phone call from a local car club. He wanted to inform us that they were boycotting the Stray Kat 500. After Renee told me who they were I just died laughing. I know everyone knows of a clubs out there that brag about winning trophies at the local small car shows. You know the ones that giveaway 100 trophies and you have 50 cars at the show.

They said the entry fee was too high and it just not worth driving down. (more like trailering the car 30 miles) So we just wanted to let you know we are protesting the event. I wish they would have called me.

Its like you don't take a knife to a gun fight.

Our new rule, Trophy Hounds are not allowed at the Stray Kat.

Thanks for letting me vent,

Happy Trails,

Mick

You should call them back and tell them that you are going to have a top ten trailered cars awards, but they have to trailer the car's thru the street to receive it. Sorry that we are missing this year Mick, I have p***ed out a mess load of the flyers that you sent me.

Thanks again,
Chris Nelson

KOOL IDEA ...............

4. I'd tell them "Oh, that's too bad... Rod & Custom, Street Rodder and Rodders Digest Magazine's are going to be there looking for feature cars"

I bet they'd come...

That is the funniest thing I have heard today. IMHO it can only make the show better. I pick up the GP from my buddy tonight so we'll see how it looks in blue suede with a gloss white top.
See you on Saturday,

Tell them to stick their hand in a bucket of water, and then pull it out.

The hole they leave behind is how much they will be missed.

I have been waiting to use that line for years:D :D

We all have shows that we don't go to for many reasons, but I have never had the balls enough to call the club and tell them why.

Sorry I think this is real amusing for the following reasons.

1) they would think that I would care.
2) that I gave a ($%@) what they thought.

This is a new record for the show. The first year I ran a "Street Rodder" off after the winners were announced. This year I ran three off before the show started.

Its is going to be a good weekend.

Happy Trails,

Mick

11. I had a guy call me last year and tell me that our show would never make it if we did not have cl***es for original, restored vehicles. I told him that we had done alright the last 6 years and if it was ok with him we'd go ahead have the show anyway. He was right. We only had 284 cars. Oh well.

That sounds about the mentality of most so called car people in this area and they wonder why nobody wants to join their club.

That's a f'n hoot! Those guys are stuck in high school mode. You know, back when having a plastic trophy on the shelf meant something.

I just can't understand why people can't go to an event to have fun and check out cool cars..
So many 'infants' worry about a trophy.

The last local show i attended, i told the judges to please not judge my car.
They looked at me like i was from Mars or something..
I just told one of them the only reason i entered was i didn't feel like walking from the parking lot so i entered the car 'cause it was closer.
He was a cool guy and had a good laugh..

Thats what it's about, having a good time..

Pack Rat this is no ****!! I did the same thing didnt want to walk and entry was cheap so I entered my Duelly and the ****er won a damn trophy with a bag of trash in the back!! Laughed my *** off!

21. when I was in the Buzzards- I was working the gate at the annual show and a guy drives up and asks if "they":D have a trophy for unrestored 55 chevys with the original paint kinda thin and buffed thru.......[exactly what he was driving][a blue one].........
I says"No that trophy is only given to RED 55's!"
Ya shoulda seen his jaw drop........

BTW-I hope this is a nationwide trend!

22. It's all because you're such an arrogant *** Mickey!:)

I am blown away every time I hear that come from someone's mouth.

Oh yeah, I'm not gonna come to the show because it's too close to the house.

Keep running "them" off and THEM! will keep coming back.

I love whatcha stand for Mick.

Did you break it into a million pieces and throw it out into the audience? :)

When I first got my POS '69 Nova, I entered it in the local plastic fantastic trophy show so I would be in the drawing for the the giveaway engine. Parked my beauty right between two trophy queen Camaros. Man you shoulda heard them crybabies!!! That was worth the price of admission.

Trust me...you're just "streamlining" the event. Those guys would be complaining about when you were gonna hand out trophies, who judged em, why the other guy has a better spot......

Press on little camper.

Just proves there is a flip side to every coin.

The reasons those PANSIES aren't showing is the very reason we will show until you throw us out!

By the way, I think I will have to give you the "Built for Speed" trophy back this year. Seems all that thing is truly built for is to break down.

Yeah, we be rolling the 59 alone this year.:(

kool, way to go mick, i have alway said if you go to any car show to win an award your in it for the wrong frickin reason, we go to have a good time check out some *****in rides and have a beer {well maybe more than one ya know} so to all the people who bring the trophy queens out to play, leave them home and we;ll all have a better time at the show without you and the car!!
