The way most things work is just plain retarded. Go outside and smash something, you'll feel better, it works for me.

I think we can all agree that shipping has gone downhill since the pony express! The pony express ruled!

i had a prepaid shipment to hewlett packard, and i could not get fedex to come to my house. went online and all they wanted was for me to open a fedex account. gave it to a friend and he took it to fedex shipping location. what a pain in the ***.

How much did NAPA want for the parts that you risked your projects demanding schedual with Kanter?! UPS does think their drivers are gonna screw 'em. Hell, most crooks think everyone is after "their" stash.
I still end up using them sometimes, tho'
Greg, Brian eluded that you may have a 2.5 and manual trans for sale soon.

When I was a kid,we could drive all the way to the shore and see only pines and pick-ups and blueberry farms. Now the whole damn things condos-looks like North Jersey and the Merck **** into the ocean makes it smell like-well parts of North Jersey, too. On the otherhand, northwest NJ is really cool and has a ton of rattlesnakes-at least until the NYC commuters screw it up.

By the way, ever notice how in every other state you go to the beach, but in Jersey you go to the shore?

yes I have noticed that, they actually have an auto insurance comercial on the radio trying to apeal to us by using terms like "down tha shore" but I will never forget when the insurance companies all abandoned New Jersey, and I will be bitter about it.

I used to live in a particularly seedy part of KC MO when UPS decided to stop accepting cash for stuff. The reason was every addict in town(the country) was either offing or f---ing up UPS guy's to support their habit.

I mean hell where else could you wait till late in the day and take everyone elses money for nuthin'.

Besides it ain't UPS's fault Kanter screwed up.

I'm not an especially lazy soul but I gotta admit that UPS job is a hard drivin' mutha fuya and not one I would especially want,Them drivers work long and hard for the money.

If you don't want to get 2 money orders and you feel you have:rolleyes: to make the UPS guy feel "your pain",wait til he delivers, get the exact price from him and make him deliver again tomorrow, doesn't sound like you are anywhere near in a hurry yet anyway.

I personally have never had a reason to complain about UPS service and they have been shipping stuff to me from all over the country forever.I even have an occasional shipper account.

I gotta weigh in for UPS. I have used UPS hundreds of times with only one **** up. (and they went WAAAAAYY out of their way to fix it.)

Have you ever noticed you don't ever see a UPS guy leanin' against his truck bull ****tin? No. They don't have the time. Those boys bust their ***.

I know I couldn't get a part from Summit Racing in Ohio, to me in S. Carolina, in two days for 6 bucks. Hell of a deal, if you ask me.

  25. Greg- I have a couple UPS funnies for you......

A bud here sold a 45 Auto and some Ammo[seperate boxes-insured]...the buyer gets the ammo but not the pistol.
driver said he never went there that day......
but remember the ammo made it:rolleyes: -Turns out the driver was busted for trying to keep the pistol!
this one was at my shop,
I orderd a new set of Harley wide whites fromMidwest cycle......Driver shows up in a couple days with the "shipment"....I was inside a Mercury welding on a chopped top and just reached out the quartegl*** and signed the thingy....He leaves-I get out when Im done and there leaned up against the wall is a square peice of one layer cardboard with a sticker on it.
It has the rubbed on outline of the tire [and tread] on both sides:rolleyes: .
NO TIRES.......I ended up finding them at the "dropout center"UPS has at Earth City Missouri.......I dont believe they dropped out or I still can't believe they delivered a ****in single layered peice of cardboard 300 miles!!

UPS does seem to charge whatever they feel like charging. A few months ago I sold some valve cover spacers to RACEFAB in Washington state, it was over $9 bucks to ship them! At the same time I sold a framed print to another HAMB'er in N. Carolina, this box was ten times bigger and probably 5 times heavier and was .50 cents cheaper to ship all the way across the country.

There is UPS ground shipping to up here but it is reallly sloooow and unreliable and usually not a heck of a lot cheaper than 2nd day..

BINGO! We have a winner! This is exactly why UPS can't take cash anymore. Its not the crackheads robbing the drivers its the drivers stealing.
The small town I live in has a large UPS sort center, in just the last couple of years "I" know of 4 arrests and one of the guys killed his fool self after he got caught.(he was stealing guns from the friggin safe at UPS!)
I know there are good guys and gals who work for UPS (so don't bust my *** about that) but the temptation (guns, etc.) most guys just can't handle.
