Newb from Michigan here, one of my best friends daughters decided that she wanted her dads old truck as a first car, it's a 49 dodge pickup. I figured I should seek out a little help since I've never worked on a 6 volt system or tuned on a flathead six.

Guessing from your handle you do God's work (beer is proof there is a God and he wants us to be happy). Welcome. Think about converting to 12v.

Thanks, I'm guessing you are involved with the big pumpkin gun? I didn't see it set up on Grand river this year, was it set up someplace else?

I enjoy drinking beer but have nothing to do with making it. Conversion to 12V is planned, motor was rebuilt maybe 10 years ago and only run once or twice but has some sort of HEI distributor in it.
