Cool! Give me a yell! Hey Mike... Do you still have my M/C junk? Any chance I can get it back? Thanks!
Guys, I'll be leaving at about 6 tonight for early set ups . Might make a few TT's with the Tempest if I get time. Call me direct if anybody needs anything. 602-769-0346
I'll give you a call tomorrow, Chip! Oh, and while I was stalking you earlier today, I noticed a pretty little boat-tail out front... what's the scoop on that?
Mark and I went out to the track to set everything up last night and the weather wasn't bad at all 78 deg. with a slight breeze at about 10:00 PM + no giant crickets. Come on out you'll have a great time............Spike
Its not gonna be half as fun without ****ing down giant bugs all night! LOL! See everyone tonight! I'm bringing the band too!
A Big Thanks to all of you HAMB'ers that are willing to brave the heat to come out and support this event, hope you all had a good time, I sure did. Douglas B. Here on the HAMB won the trophy cl*** with his 57 Chevy hardtop Ron Olmstead Won the Vintage Minibike Drags If you were out there let us know what you think or if you have any ideas as to how we can get more participation from others on this board........Thanks again........Spike
This gig was a blast, as usual. Marc and Spike always put together a good event. Racing at night kicks ***!. I made it to the semi-finals in trophy cl*** and red lighted by .088 (doh!) against my pal Douglas, he then advanced to the finals and won the cl***. I raced my orange '57 Chevy 2 dor post "Thumper" and Douglas raced his blue '57 Chevy 2 door hardtop. Our cars are very similar, no front bumpers, typical g***er stance, hot dual quad SBCs, 4 speeds, radiused rear wheel wells with big slicks, and the're both true old war horse race cars from back in the day. It's always a blast when we race each other. My thanks to Marc and Spike for making this *****in' deal happen. P.S. If anyone got any pic of Douglas' machine, please post them.
Thanks again Marc and Spike for putting this together for us! We are truly lucky to have such an awesome venue/gathering to race at. Lot's of great people out there as well. It's always a blast to race against Mike, and his machine. Win or lose, I really don't care, as long as we get to run. I will do my part to help promote future events and get some more east-siders out to Speedworld. Not a bad turn out for this one in my opinion! Thanks again!
