  7. You know, in all the excitement I forgot to look for it! D'oh!
I contacted previous owner last night and he said he's in the process of moving and he has stuff everywhere, but he said it does have an import approval and he is gonna chase up the QLD motor trans to get all the details sent to me.
    If not...I dont wanna know....

  9. Thanks matey! Do you know what you're in for? :D
Actually, if you ever get a chance, I'd be keen to see how your petrol tank is set up. Especially the mounting brackets. Sorry, that means you have to get underneath your car. I did warn you!
Seriously, I would like to see how the factory has their fitted. (***uming yours is stock) Thanks again. Peter.

  12. Guys, I'm pretty excited about all this, but I've damned near got the old girl ready to fire up. Just one more question about missing engine parts. Just noticed there is a ****** big hole up the back of the motor, has a thread (not sure what gauge) When I filled the radiator up this morning water started seeping out of the hole. (That is how I knew it was there) Would it be for the T piece? Becuase I saw this picture of another straight 8 and I'm thinking this is probably what mine is missing. I've circled it here (someone elses motor) Its that thing that is partly obscured by the vacuum advance.

Anyone confirm that its the t piece that I am missing? Thanks guys. Pics coming soon.

    Yup!

  15. Dudes! Just bought a plaything for the Buick! Picked up a nice series III XJ6 Jag. Guess what kind of fun a union of those two cars makes? The stunning Buick body with the updated Jag suspension/brakes/power steering/ etc. Buying it was the easy bit.
