$75 at Speedway, Southwest Speed, Pete & Jakes. About the same everywhere. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Stainless-Steering-U-Joints-3-4-DD,8987.html?parentDisplayId=45473
That's a pretty small driveshaft. If you mean steering shaft, I'd go with Borgeson. Not real expensive.
Yea i ment steering shaft. I think i may end up going with a borgeson. Fornow im going to make a quick one. I wont actually drive with it other than to menuver it on and off a trailer for now.
Ok so now on to my next question. i've never ordered steering parts so im not sure. When they say for example 3/4dd. is that 3/4 overall diameter of the rod? or the flat parts between the D's.
It refers to the max OD of the saft. I prefer to use the Unisteer products. For the same price as the other you get a piece that is well made and looks great. Pricing is all about the same for these components. I get mine through Summit as the shipping costs are generally less.
Flaming River FR1945 is the coupler that is 3/4DDX3/4DD. Retails for 39.99, can be purchased thru Summit also. Made in USA, not like the U band as mentioned. The dimention is taken from the round to round not across the flat.
