Well, they are getting ready to tear down the old farm house at my grandmother's place (probably next year). Supposibly things have been sorted through, and only garbage is left inside. Knowing there was a lot of stuff in there still, I had to poke around.

I'll apologize up front for the cell phone pictures. I always try to avoid putting them on forums! I snapped the pics quick for my own research, figured I'd get good pics later on and post around. Been on the road 2 weeks for work, and have nothing better to do in the hotel tonight than post up my half **** pics to see if these things can be identified.

First up, a set of Ford headlights. Reseach looks like they are from a Model A pickup, as they are painted black, and everything else was nickle plated or stainless (I could be very wrong though). The lenses have the Ford emblem and also say "TWOLITE HEADLAMP". I knew these were something to good to save. :D

Next to those was a lonely fog light, marked "DIETZ NY 510" on the body, and "GE Made in the USA" on the lens. Anyone know what it might be from?

One of my favorite finds, a Mack-Gratiot license plate frame. From what I can find they went under in the 1950's.

And the real mystery. A horn. That's litterally all I know about it! Has a bit of black paint left on it, and only a single wire coming out of it. Part of the casting appears to have the letter "F", no other letters/markings can be found.

There's plenty of other stuff to resue in there as well, but I don't have pics of it all. There's an Eska push mower, missing the handle, but otherwise looks complete, and pulls over quite well! Also a "Blue Ribbon Champion" outboard, complete with directions to "Mix 3/4 pint SAE 30 oil per gallon of gas". Appears to be late 40's model. Most the stuff in there probably has been sitting for 30-50 years.

The horn is a twin to the one on my '60 F100.

Grab all you can and that license plate frame will only work with old Michigan plates since they were a different size then modern or other states plates,I bought one from a old used car dealer in Detriot to use on my 37 Chevy p/u but it would not fit my Ohio plates.

Back then most states had a different sized plates so you have to watch out where you get the cool frames from, they probably became all the same size back in the late 50s or early 60s as I got some from that time frame from California and they fit my Ohio plates.

Headlamp is 28-29 Model A & AA Commercial.
Foglamp is typical aftermarket and stock accessory for many makes.
Horn is your typical clamshell horn used from late 40s to 70s on many different makes and models.

Cool, thanks for the info guys.

I'll definitely be saving what I can, got an old Thermos, there's a few more car horns, possibly some tools ****tered around (I believe). Unfortunately most of what's in there is actually just junk, old mattresses, bed springs, tires, delabidated cardboard boxes of random nuts/bolts/steel pieces, some broken circular saws that aren't really old or new, etc etc.

Trying to convince the wife we need to salvage some of the wood too for ???? I just know that some of the upstairs floor boards are 2x10 and 2x12, and the good "old barn wood" type stuff. Maybe a work bench, or foyer table, etc.
