hey guys, ive ben wondering if there was a car/truck that came with 15x9 or 15x10 steel rims. just thinking about running some fat tires and steelies but i dont want to cash out buy some new ones thanx tim
It kinda looks like you have a or 6 or 8 lug wheel there, is that true? Just wondering because it's hard to tell in the pic and I've never heard of a 1ton with 5 on 5.5 wheels.
If you need the 5 on 5.5 I would look at Ford Bronco (like 90) or pick ups they had a 15 x 8 wide wheel I think the fake mag style wheel is just a cover over the rim?????????????? In the smaller bolt pattern station wagon wheels are 15 x 7 That's what I run on back. i don't know of anything wider from the factory.
cool, ill keep an eye out for those, im looking to run a 12.5 wide tire on steelies so i figured id need at least a 9 or 10 wide tim
Try roaming through a few circle-track racing websites that have Cl***ifieds forums such as www.4m.net , www.thedirtforum.com , www.whowon.com etc. You'll find a variety of steel wheels...new and used in many different widths and offsets. Even new steel racing wheels are not too expensive. Happy Hunting! Regards, Gerry Dedonis
Good, I'm glad to hear it! I wouldn't think you'd booty fab something with miss matched lug patterns I figured as much, the pic just looked funny and I hadn't seen a 5 on 5.5 1 ton before.
We really dont know what these came off. They had the fleet white color that all the fleet trucks come in. the center register is really big, 4WD? Bronco like Kenny said? I dont know?
Scout or jeep with the big center hole. I was buying the 8 1/2 inchers new up until about 10 years ago. 5 on 5.5 woth the hubcab bumps. The 90s Ford pickup 7-8 inchers are a little goofy looking. I have a set of those. Why not just make your own. Find some old cheap white spokers, whack out the middle, and weld your middle in. All you need is a very free turning spindle to true and balance it on. I really don't know why more guys don't do this, it's bone simple, safe if you can weld. I mean look at the welds on store bought custom wheels, honestly who couldn't do that good?
Speedway also sell 10 " rims with no centers in them. Proper ID for early Ford 15" centers. Press in some centers, weld them up, and you're good to go
Here is an up-close, they match my 40 Ford fronts to a T. Weird, the whole Zip file uploaded? Both the 40s and my rears are there. I can open the file, can you? Ok, redid it, here is a close look at mine. Left is the rears, right is the 16x4.5 fronts
"The file is invalid or currupted" Hmmmmmmm usta know a girl like that. Tim......I believe Speedway sells a 8 and a 10 inch steel wheel right there in your town. Look in the race-car section of your bibl-er, your Speedway catalogue.....this is what you look like driving a 56 ford pickup.
lol umm yes i supose that is what i woul dlook like driving a 56 ford pickup lol, ho wmany years has that ben now? 1 1/2 or so lol thanx for the tip ill dig threw the speedway book later tonight.
