So just like the ***le says, Im going to remove the drive train (Original) on my 50 Chevy Deluxe and the driveshaft will be the first thing I remove and it just looks totally different than other cars that have the U-joint which I've worked with. Im sure there are tons of guys here that can help.
It's a closed driveline, aka "torque tube", the whole thing comes out with the rear axle as a unit. Most guys replace them with open drive rear ends and regular driveshafts when swapping in different engines or transmissions.
you pull the four bolts on the collar and slide it back. The u-joint will be underneath. Its been a while but I remember it was pretty straightforward. Heres the page from the manual. Cesar http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/shop/1949_53/04rear/4_15.HTM
