Just about the best kept secret in Utah Moabs April Action event for the thirteenth year, more than 600 cars showed up to laze in the park on Saturday and cruise Moabs Main street on Friday and Saturday nites This year there were more fifties and sixties cars than ever before and dominated the event however, there were also more flat blak cars registered for the event and of course, there were a ton of people/cars that simply come to the town to look at the cars in the park and then go cruise Main Met ColoRODo HAMBer MadCad there in his Bonneville-inspired Model A has a 500 inch Caddy in it and hell shoot for 185mph in August Sunshine, t-shirt weather, all the cruising you could handle, magnificent scenery and beautiful cars and women make up a great weekend R- MadCad's Model A Chopped '39 Chevy "highboy" Radially chopped shoebox...that's the owner holding the red cup. Bro's '54 Caddy Model A coop... Shot of the Saturday crowd...
Had a blast down in Moab, lots of cool cars, just got back tonight, got to meet Hamber 40studedude(thanks for posting a pic) and his brother and to check out the 54 caddy he has, which has to be described as 'just right' Saturday night got to cruise the modelA ...it's maiden voyage, cruising time was limited by the amount of fumes that where coming into the car and making my eyes water and my head spin, then while consuming lots of beer at Woody's Tavern we got to see Paul Galaxy and the Galactix ...great band. I'll get a couple of pics loaded up tomorrow.
MAN, I been there on a mountain bike, in a raft and in a jeep, but never in my hotrod... this looks like a ROAD TRIP to me!
IF your headers hadn't exited (sans collectors, mufflers and pipes) rite at the front of the cowl, you mite have been able to make a few more p***es...as it was, that dual quad Caddy Motor was excessively loud...and I'm real surprised the cops let you make as many p***es as you did. Glad we met, seen you again somewhere this summer? FoMoCo, a road trip to the red rock scenery (and sunny weather) in Moab couldn't get much better than in a hot rod!!! And the guided "tours" around the area on Friday, by the Rod Benders, in a hot rod is spectacular. R-
