I recently sold my 32 Fordor that I had big hopes for. Have a wedding to pay for and I knew that the 32 was going to have to be sold. It went to a fellow hamber. I had some money left over from the wedding bills and I found this truck locally. I bought it on the spot. It had awful wheels and tires on it but I just happened to have some 40 wheels so I got her home, bought some tires and am slowly fixing the few issues it has. It's a driver, 289, c4, 9 inch rear. I love this thing. I know some people think they are ugly but I think they are awesome. Here it is today with the correct wheels and tires.
i like it with the wheels on it man. the fordor is still in ohio but will be on it's way to me soon. trying to work around me needing to get that econoline up to canton. glad everything worked out between us congrats on the new truck
i think looks great from the side!! the nose is sorta bulldogish but hey iv had a bulldog and loved him so yeah diggin your truck.. she looks to be in fantastic shape.. enjoy, congrats on the marriage. chris.
It has a 48 F-1 front axle and brakes, with a 69 f-100 rear end. It stops so fast, I almost put my buddy through the windshield when I showed him how well it stops. It puts the early ford juice brakes to shame.
The only thing I don't like about those trucks are the grill and nose, that aside, thats a nice truck.
I have a few model a's, a 29 roadster and a 29 coupe. It has reveresed eye springs on it now but it's not enough in my opinion. Going to have to be an axle flip to get her any lower. These are axle under spring trucks, dual parrallel front and rear.
It wasnt that long ago 1937-38 ford cars were considered ugly. Never mind any Studebakers of any year.
