thanks much, there's not a lot to do to finally get it on the road. Just have to keep motivated and getting the paint on will really help the fires burning.

I was wondering what happened to this car. Maybe a few Longboard Lagers would help with the progress? :D

These two '57 wagons are still taking home an Oscar weekly after 50+ years.

I am working on a 57 ranch wagon, planning on a 390 FE. What can I do about headers for this car?

I hope to find a couple decent bumpers. The one front I have is pretty thrashed.
Spent the day sanding out the door jams and shooting them. With a little luck on my side I'll pull the trim and paint tomorrow.

I'm going to shoot SEM Hot Rod Black. We use to use it to do school bus hoods back in the 80's. Then it was called Trim Black - now repacked for the Traditional Hot Rodders out there.

Tony, i'm using stock exaust so I cant help you much on headers. Google 57ford international - its a 57 ford dedicated site, they'll have yoru answers for sure.

Here are two '57's for an idea and then there is the '57 Ford factory 312 with a Super Charger still running around. Those were fast cars too.

Fred, I kinda like the blanket on the bottom half, goes with the panels you put in. If you have a matching one for the back no need da kine upholstery. :p

The Ribs installed ( the 58 Nomad externals and 57 Ranchwagon internals) today and fresh oil.

Tomorrow, hook up the ****** lines, fill and hook up and fill the rad.
The final projects; Brakes, wiring and exaust.

The front seat can wait until later when I do the carpets this fall.

Next week I'm checking out a rear bumper I got a lead on.. sounds functional.

Doing brakes today. That leaves wiring for now,
exaust and remaining interior for later.
Really looking forward to moving it under her own power next week.
She wont see the road this summer but will be
ready to bolt out of the gate next summer for sure!

    Thanks Jeff, I'm loving it.

I took a road trip this weekend and picked up a used rear bumper. Not perfect, not mint... just right.

By the hairs of my sporran the two old girls are running and had bath night ready for guests that came on August 6th.
That 360 sounds so nice all open header like.

I had put the 2 inch lowering blocks in before it went and while it was on the hoist I had him put in Areostar springs ( same as I put in the fairlane and Ranchero)
It dropped it by about 3 inches. And I love the new height.

Sure had a busy summer out and about. Little time for the shop this lst month doing car shows and the 'do list.

I have been cruising down my dead end quarter mile road to my post box to get to know it. Been driving both the wagons this summer without insurance. I live on a flat open road ( one of 4 acreages) and can see the full distance. Without anyone else on it, I'm good to go. Maybe before falls sets in I can have time to put the exaust in. Right now the open headers are just fine with me. Good thing I git along with the neibours well.

I have has some stripin started.

Nice lookin' wagon!! I had two of those along with two country sedans that I sold about 5 or so years ago and sure wish I had 'em back. None were drivers but they all had potential.
