Saw this forum mentioned on Garage Journal several times so I decided to join. I'm retired from the Air Force and also from over the road trucking, so now I live a laid back life in central Louisiana.
J. Persons, new guy. Welcome to the HAMB. What's your interest in cars? What do you drive or intend to drive in the future? My roots from my dad's side are in N. Louisiana, the small town of Chase, near Winnsboro. Chase is actually about a mile this side of resume speed. JRB46
Welcome from SW Ohio! Happy to see you finally made it! BTW, thanks for your service to the good old US!
I grew up in Bossier City ,La. Joined the Air Force and hardly ever went back. First car I ever bought was a '46 Ford. Kept it about 6 weeks, then the AF shipped me overseas so I sold it to a buddy. Much later I built a Alston ch***is '67 Camaro drag car, a '67 Mustang for street and autoX, an '86 TBird TurboCoupe with a Vortech Blown 331, and a FFR Cobra. I moved to Louisiana about a year ago from California and I'm currently without a project. First order of business is to get a shop built, I have an acre just outside the city limits, so permitting will be a breeze.
Welcome from Mississippi, and thanks for your service, now get that shop built! BTW, I flew into Natchitoches one time avoiding some ****py weather, and the pronunciation is NOTHING like the spelling. I decided to wait until I heard someone else flying in to learn the proper pronunciation....i.e "Nakadich" Outlaw
Haha, Yeah... places like Natchitoches (Nack-idish) and Tchoupitoulas (chop-i-tulis), and a lot of others down here can have you lost if you're actually looking for a street that looks the way it sounds LOL...
Welcome to the HAMB!! Got an old '32 Louisiana plate?---Any condition---As long as you can read it!! Not for restoration---Just a wall hanger!
