The FAA is issuing a complaint--seems like all the airplane comp***es are pointing towards your house instead of North...

I cant count. There are 9 transmissions.

I nominate Bruce Lancaster as the HAMB Comedian!

The 57 Chevy station wagon is one of my tow vehicles.
I prefer my 39 Ford pickup, but today I used the 57.
I see some guys on here knocking 57s.
This 57 has a 300 hp crate motor (to pull heavy loads).
It has power disc brakes (to stop the heavy loads I pull)
It has a great place in the back to sleep warm and dry when I go to swap meets (to buy heavy loads).
It has air conditioning to make the work of loading heavy loads more bearable.
I never cuss on this forum but I will say "**** the ***holes who knock 57 Chevys!"

I got two multidisc clutches today and may have a third.
    Wotchu got to trade?

Words to live by. You want to talk about traditional sixties style rodding, tri-fives are where it's at.

I always thought that too, but its unbelievable how many people ask what kind of car it is. And most of these folks are old enuff that they were around when the 57 was new!

I think a 57 wagon wagon rules, I think alot of people are just kind of thinking the tri five chevys are over glorafied. There certanly more tri five chevys around than most other 50's cars, and alot of the guys driving them are not really the traditional crowd. There certainly alot of other 50 cars that are just as cool and deserved to be just as iconic for ther great styling.

Ol' Clive finally gave you the key, eh? Looks like you had to build a crane on your trailer. Keep me posted on the engines, I think Ken might be looking for something usable for his sport coupe, even just a block with good babbit.

Today all I got is rear axles. 16 of'em. Probably not worth the cost of gas to go get'em. Model T, Model A, some V-8. Willowbilly, the crane helps on these heavy things. are you doing OK?

We used to ride in Lefty's 57 and you are correct on the people that have no clue what it is.

It was also the biggest attention getter car I have ever been in.

Nice score you made on your parts.

I'm doing good. I've got my house up for sale and will need to find another place.
I also have my eye on one of those cranes. It is on a nice 1 ton utility bed and I heard them say yesterday they wanted it hauled off.

I have to get another load of Model A blocks. I've been getting the serial numbers. I will send you a list of month and year of production for Ken. I am getting new babbitt in my driver and a fresh bore, crank turned. A guy in Baton Rouge. Tell Ken I think this guy does very good work. $400 for new babbitt, crank and rods fitted, $75 to turn the crank. He will build all or any part of the engine.

Thanks DREW, I bought this 1 1/2 acre place outside the city limits so i can do old cars, but the Metropolitan Planning Commission 'claims' they have the authority to tell me what I can and can not do on my own property and I'm pretty angry at them right now. I have an unusual wheel, dont know if its Divco. If I can remember I will get a pic tomorrow

I dont think we're gonna let willowbilly take the tour anymore. We have to weigh him each time before he leaves! :) Last time he tried to sneak out with a Model T coupe body stuffed under his shirt.

Maybe I can get another load from Cleve tomorrow.

Where do you find this stuff? My '57 Chevy doesn't fit-in with the local Chevy club. If some one says they don't like '57's, I think they're talking about those "Where's your bumper?" guys.

where do I find it? Rogers is full old cars. I know a old guy there with a 39 Ford pickup and another guy who rotates neat cars so often I dont know what he has now. Arkansas is FULL of old cars. So is Missouri and Oklahoma. My best advice is ride around in old cars and people will say, "Hey! I know where an old car like that is!" Always follow leads. Last time I stoppped for gas in a small town in Arkansas in my Model A, an old lady told me her uncle had her fathers Model A within one block of the gas station.
