hey gang - so i guess i got the bug when i changed the alternator on some old lady's '65 mustang when i worked in a body shop throughout high school. fast forward about 16 years and i'm one year into owning a home, constantly find myself needing a truck (last year on the fourth of july i drove home from home depot with an 8 foot garage door sticking out the back of my civic) and really itching to get that first oldie to mess around with and do some burnouts at the Rumblers show this year. I'm in love with the '52 F-1s, but then the stepside '59 BBW F-100 is pretty damn sweet too. been looking for a few months for something running, hopefully have something to post pictures of in various states on here by end of summer. -hugo
Welcome to the HAMB from Lindenhurst NY.The Rumblers put on a great show but the cops right tickets for burnouts now.I saw them grab a guy last year.Enjoy the show but they may through you out for burnouts.See you there.
Howdy Hugo from the West Coast of Florida. Nice to meet you and hope you find just what you need here.
hey ratrod37, i grew up in lindenhurst. class of '97. small world! yeah, they came down toward 6-7 pm last year, i ws honestly surprised at how long it went on, but right until then it was pretty much ignored, saw alot of cops just drive past while it was going on, had the feeling they were "cooperating" until then. either way, it'd be nice just to go to the show in something a little older than my '99 civic.
Welcome to the HAMB.. FYI The Rumblers show will be held on August 20th. Anyone doing burnouts will be dealt by me. I don't need innocent people enjoying our show to get killed by some jackass.. Thanks
