Surprisingly there doesn't seem to be much posted here, unless I'm missing it. Is there a site that lists what's going on around the country? I used to go to the Hunnert Car Pile-up when I lived in IL, which was fantastic, but the only thing I found here in the bay area was a small show in S.F. that had about 7 cars left when I got there mid-afternoon. Any leads to shows in NorCal would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can search by state, etc here - www.carshownews.com

There's also an events calender here on the HAMB.

Dude! Midnite Mass in Sacramento is this weekend, the 30th. Do a search, it is ON THE BOARD.
My daughter said it is the most to say the least, real cool with all the right stuff.
    But she's 'way hip...' LOL
Great rules there, affordable to attend. $20 to register with car, and $5 to walk in.
NO billet, no Donk wheels, no nuthin' not cool. '64 and older, rods & customs...nice folks, many Nor-Cal Hambers. I recommend it. So does daughter Amy. But she's 'way hip'. LOL

Keep your peeper peeled here on the Hamb. You recently missed the NorCal Knockout in Vallejo and Hot Danville Night was last weekend. In Sept there is Billetproof in Antioch. There are a number of smaller club shows along the Peninsula as well. Just hit one with your car and you'll get fliers for the other shows. I am on the board for Jimmy's Old Car Picnic which is in it's 23rd year. That show/picnic is in Golden Gate Park on Oct 15th. There's shit in the north bay as well but I don't know how far you want to travel and I am sure the south bay Hambers will chip in as well.

  6. honestly i google "car shows in (state)<STATE><STATE>". the top 5 or 6 on the search list seem to give me a wide variety. oldride.com, yadda yadda.

go to any show and there'll be enough trash in your ride by the end you'll know all the shows in the area for the next 10 years......

I found out about the Big Bear Lake car show from the Big Bear Recreation & Resort Guide magazine I found in Ralph's Market. Search the Chamber of Commerce for each city too. Many car shows are Charity events, so search "charity benefit event cars" and things like that.

  13. Just a couple of weekends ago we had 3 shows in as many days here in San Jose

I always get a kick out of this.
If you put on a dance, you charge people to get in, and you PAY the band.
If you put on a car show, you charge people to get in, and you CHARGE the car owners even more!!
We're the fuckin' band, there'd be no show without us and our hard work and investment, why are we being charged more than the public!?!
    Excuse my rant.

I think the "sheeple" are those who put years of work and tons of money into a car, and then continue to be "fleeced" by paying higher and higher entry fees to put on a show.

that cruisin news is great for events. I never missed anything when I subscribed to that. too fucking expensive now though. $30.00 a year? it's just a newspaper.
