Nice score on the 41, but I would have keep the 46-48. I like the grill in those so much better. To each their own. Will enjoy watching this build.

Pheeew!!! I was sweating the idea for a second there. Guess I'm SOL you lucky dog you! Now that you have this car you know you're going to have to paint it right? It'd be a shame to leave it and not have the old girl all shiny :D

Text me a list of stuff you're looking for. I'll keep an eye for them around here and ask a few older guys if they have a link on any of it. Also are you still thinking about a Y block in this one like the 47? Might be a nice idea since this one is a little bigger and could serve as a long distance type car.

Yeah JJ, I'll do this car up right. It will look a ton better, probably look better with a slight chop as well :D I'll get it running/driving and enjoy it for a bit, then do it up. I dunno if the flatty will ever leave it, time will tell.

Well, it runs! I tried getting it running yesterday, had fuel and spark but no fire. I ran a compression test today, 1 through 8 read: 90, 30, 30, 90, 40, 80, 50, 65. Kinnda low. I put some Marvels Mystery oil in the cylinders and let it soak for a couple hours. Came out and turned it over slowly, then hooked a 12V battery to just the starter and winged it over (with no plugs) for a few seconds. It made a small mess of Marvels oil on the inner fenders :D Hooked a 6V battery to the coil, and left the 12V to the starter, dumped a lil gas down the carb and it started popping. Kept going and she fired. I only ran it for a few seconds as I have the radiator out, but enough to know that it will run!

Heres some pics of the smoke :D

Yeah, I gotta get the radiator back in it so I can fire it and get it nice and warm. It will smoke and stink for a bit but for the short while it ran, it sounded good!!!
