    So folks,Got a little delima.
Since my wifes A F/X is going to be driven on the street,it needs a radiator.
The allure and beauty of altered wheel base cars to me,is not just the wheel base, but the with the motor recess,I love the look of the empty skeletal view from the grill.
Delima.......With the radiator in the stock location, the radiator just upsets that empty underhood view. And we dont want to run a bumper and the radiator is just hanging out in the open.But....I love the fact that the motor is so accesable to work on.

But with the radiator pushed back quite a bit,it takes away the accesabilaty of the motor, but does look a lot better.

In the trunk is pretty much out of the question.

The wife and I spent an hour looking at the car with the radiator in both locations, and just cant decide.

    Mabey a little input?

Set back as in second pic. Better than 3' cooling hoses.

Set back looks better and some black paint would go a long way toward making it disappear.

Shroud it. If you gotta work on it that much should not be a street car. Hell you have an A/FX, you should love taking things apart! Lol

Why would you move everything to the rear and move the wheels forward for weight transfer and then hang a big chunk off the front?

To be honest,Ive really concidered it. But the plan is to run 2 seperate fuel tanks, pumps and systems. The big one in the trunk for gasoline. And the moon tank up front for alcohol at the track.
Should be able to switch back and forth because the Hilborn is electronic injected. Ive got a good tuner helping me with this.

It would be cool to see the blower belt spinning through the grill but it's alot of plumbing, water and added weight to rear mount a radiator that works. I have one mounted up in the back my car with the thought of sitting in line on hot days but it's not as much of a dual purpose build as yours. Seeing this thing on the streets in traffic will more than make up for the radiator.

By the way.....they were A/FX ( A factory experimental) not A F/X. Quibbling?......yeah maybe, but for us that were there, somethings are sacred.;)

I'd rather have the ease of access.

Thanx for all the input folks! I welded the supports in today. I went with it pulled back closer to the motor.
    Thanx again,
