Well the truck is in getting door panels done, headliner, and the seat recovered. Here is sneak peak of the seat bottom (Late model Impala split bench). Krazy Kustom Uph. aka Bob B. is doing the work for me. He has done my 49 Ford ,62 Merc, 56 Nomad, and now my 55 F100.

We finished getting the p***enger side window and regulator in the truck. The replaced the latch, and outer door handle , new lock cylinder.

Thanks, we are working on the door panels and headliner. I will post more updates as they come. We are replacing window regulators, door lock cylinders, latches . Waiting for a door gl*** to be cut here in town, since one cracked.

there has to be someone that has to understand. Bob has been doing it along time... And he gets the idea of what I like and want. I give him a little freedom to what to do and set some guide lines. He then blows me away , like with the seat.

Are you just wanting to be rid of the shine? Several years ago there were some guys that scuffed chrome with steel wool and WD40 it seems. Gave it a dull finish.

Looks good buddy! *****in' Bob comes through again. He is getting better all the time. Tell him I said hello. Talk to you soon.

  15. Wow! That looks fantastic! I snuck a look at your profile pics, that truck is the business! What's the story on it? (Sorry if I missed it somewhere else.)

  16. Man, that looks great. Looks to me like maybe a '67'is Impala seat, just guessing by the trim and the lever on back. Does it fit well?

That trim looks good to me. Just strip the anodize off with a mild acid wash and the little dings will tap right out and work down with a file sand paper etc..., the scratches look like they'd rub out too. Then just polish them up to a nice shine again and youre done. You could even clear coat them for a little added protection if you wanted.

    Your upholsery guy rocks!

Headliner is almost done, ( that was not fun to do !) Getting close , finish puttiing the p***enger door back together. We then can install the finished door panels and correct window cranks and lock handles.

Thanks , the headliner was a hard. We are getting there, we need to finish the lower cab under the window. We are doing a loop pile carpet, since you won't see it with the seat installed.

ok , so were are pretty much done, other a couple of small finish panels for the seat brackets that are bolted on the floor. I should have ordered the lock handle regulators with the longer splined shaft. We can't get the stock lock handles on do to the door panel uph. I did post a thread to if anyone knew of a extension that could be had.
