I just bought a 49 Ford Shoebox (w/ 350 Chevy) and live in a suburb south of Denver, and just north of Colorado Springs. I am wondering if anyone knows of a good mechanic/custom shop that could do work on the car. Thanks, Kerrie

Mark Hopkins is about 30 mins from you in Elizabeth, $45 an hour and does excellent metal work. cell #720-373-8773

I have used him for several projects and I highly recommend him as affordable and good.

Pot O'Gold Kustoms (Choptvan) in Colorado Springs did the work on this 47 Ford. Here is a link to a tech article we did:

What do you need done? Major mechanical, body/paint work, engine rebuilding, just typical maintenance? Most everyone has a specialty. More info needed.

Shannon (Choptvan) has the car now, he came and got it today and hopefully will be able to get most of the stuff done in terms of engine, gauges, etc. Depending on the timing, it may just mean finding an upholstery shop. Anyone know of a good shop . . .tuck n roll with piping kinda look. thanks.
