Interesting. I posted a reply and now it hath disappeared. The sheet metal is solid. Frame is good. Floor pans have a little surface rust, but no pin holes or bubbles.
Sorry for your loss. I'm in the process of rebuilding my '53 dodge truck and I am thinking about converting it to 12V, like your car. Anyhow, what type of bracket and alternator/generator setup is on your flathead? I am guessing you are talking to me. I'll have to dig in to the car to let you know. My grandfather converted it in the eighties??? The car wasn't driven for over ten years due to a gauge reading half a tank and it actually being empty. Great Grandfather was in no way, shape or form a mechanic.
