So there is a lady that lives by my with some old trucks in the back yard and she wants me to just get them out of her backyard becides the pics there are 4 more trucks mostly old dodge's and a old rv trailer...
well look at that.. not bad... I arranged to get something free today too, boat loads of shingles woo! lol
The truck on the left looks like '46-'48 Chevy, and it looks like a bigun, maybe a flatbed. The other is a Dodge, but no idea what year. They don't look too bad.
First is a '41 - '47 Chevrolet, and the second is a Pilot House Dodge, '49 - '53, but I have to have a good look at the grille to tell for certain.
Ill get better pictures with a real camara this week. Im thinking selling everything but one dodge and build it.
So i just talked to this lady and i can have everything and i dont even have to take it all at once... Its on know... Time to make some money...
One on the left is a 41-46 chevy or GMC. Most I have seen were flat bed farm trucks and can be real cool when done right. I have a 46 1/2 ton cab and ch***is. I would grab them for sure!
id get it to a safe holding area , time waits for no one and the deal might change if something unforseen happens to the nice lady ,
I only have room for a 1 at a time, But im trying to tak my neighbor into let me rent some space in his yard...
Save them all! You know someone will want them. I love them old ones, will never be like that again. recycle, renew.............
The money you make off of selling them will almost build the dodge, sounds like a stellar deal to me.
The Dodge in the second picture is a '48-'53 for sure, based on the style of the driver's door it's probably a '48-'50. Can't see enough of the front end to be sure, but the door is the earlier style. Some nice looking trucks there! Hard to argue with free too! Too bad I've already got more projects than I can deal with. No more storage space.
i agree with mopar monkey - to me its a 50 based on the void I see in the front grill - 48-49 were 'finned' with moustache grille pieces. Looks like maybe the rear was converted to a flatbed with a water tank or something?? hard to make out the pic - if you pull it out of there and find you dont want it ill take a trip to beaumont to take it off your hands - just let me know! good score
we have another thread dicussing that big Ford crew cab, don't we? It looks like a stack of money sitting there, to me.
Man, I would hate to look a gift horse in the mouth but do they have ***les by chance? I would love to have the crew cab...it would make a great retro RV. Build a home away from home on the ch***is and pull your hot rod 1/2 ton to shows and such. There are a lot of possibilities with this...are you back yet?
The dodge guys will think I'm a ****, but that's probably the last one I'd keep. The crew cab is the keeper here, don't see many(any?)of those every day!
Sorry, I don't think this is right. I knew a guy in Texas that had a '56 Chevrolet crew cab with single (not dual) rear wheels. I remember it because he called it "Crewlly Single".
