Hey guys - trying to got the top wheel cylinder off my 1951 Plymouth. I had everything dis-connected except for the breakline thats attached to the cylinder through the back plate. Im not sure how to get this off. There's a hexhead and a copper wahswr on the breakline side that turns but the hose turns with it. Should I be pulling off that hose from that hexhead? Not sure how else to get that hose off the wheel cylinder.

Bear with me - just a beginner. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks fellas!

You need to either disconnect the brake hose at the frame end or un-bolt the W/C from the backing plate and hold the hose while turning the W/c.

That hex is part of the line. What you need to do is disconnect the other end of the flex line where it joins to the hard line. Then the whole flex line can turn with the hex end. Hope this helps.

  6. Probably ought to replace the flex line anyway, cut it and start over.
