does anyone have any information about old toy cars i bought these 3 at a flea market a few weeks ago and i thought id post on here and see if anyone knows anything about them...mainly what time period they are from the white channeled 32 says "korris kars" on the bottom from "lyons Ill" and says "korris duece" on a sticker on the back the red #5 says "AUBURN made in USA" on the bottom and has a flathead V8 motor the big blue #6 is made of cast iron the hood opens and it has an inline 8 cylinder motor under the hood thanks zach
I can tell you that the Auburn is from the sixties more than likely. I bought a couple trucks at an auction a couple months ago and cleaned them up and found they were pretty cool. Then I picked up a couple more a few weeks later. One being a red 1959ish Caddy that my son loves. Wish I could post pics, but I just packed them up last week for my move at the end of the month. I just wish they were worth more. I looked on E-bay cause I thought about selling one of the trucks, cause I had duplicates. Turns out it wasn't even worth bothering with, so my son has another one to play with. The other ones I know nothing about, but they are damn cool.
Zach, I believe both the Korris Deuce and the Auburn #5 hot rod were both made in the early to mid 50's. The Korris deuce and a dragster both came as a snap together kit sold in a blister pack on a printed cardboard back. The Auburn roadster was a rubber/vinyl toy, and pretty common even today. The #6 racer is probably a more recent reproduction od a very desirable Hubley cast iron toy made in the 30's. Pretty cool find. Mick
thanks, i kinda figured that the cast iron was a reproduction seeing as its in great shape. it looks good sitting on my TV either way it's always kinda cool to know when things are from. i figured that the korris kar was from the mid 50's or later seeing as it has a hemi motor in it...the auburn one has a flathead so i was assuming early fifties...i guess i was pretty close thanks zach
Kustomkoupe, I have the exact same Korris Deuce in your picture. I picked it up a couple of years ago at a flea market for $2. I never did any research on it, it's cool to see someone else has this too.
