Hi, code name Vongoofy. I live in North Central Wa. state. Been here 7 years. Moved up from the San Francisco Bay Area. Had body shops in San Rafael, Ca. for about 25 yrs. Always had a project in the back.
Worked with different builders over the years. Usually had a car in in the Oakland Roadster Show and Sac Autorama. I also did cars for the movie industry, Lucas Films, Olds commercials etc. I worked on the movie "Tucker", doing Francis Coppola's two Tuckers. Restored one later for George Lucas. The maroon one, main car in the movie, I had to do in 3 weeks. Strip, body, paint, chrome, upholstery, mechanical etc. What a grunt! I'm still burnt out!

I have a small shop at home. Just finished a '37 Cord. That's the 7th Cord I've done. Also just finished a '64 Dodge 330, 426 Hemi, for a gentleman in Calif. Working on a '41 Chevy now.

I'm in to trucks now. I have a '37 Diamond T I'm doing for myself. It's a model 301. Same as the model 80, dually rear end. Going to have to stretch the cab....I'm 6'5"!

Well, that's "Vongoofy" in a nutshell.....

Hey there...I write a column on Tuckers. I'm thinking I need to know more about your story!
