I would agree that it looks more like the work of Bill Crowell of San Fransico. Anyboy from that area have shots of other cars he may have built? I don't think there would have been 2 people doing that kind of work. It sure wasn't a normal way to chop/section.

The car itself sure looks like something built long ago that felt the pain of some 70's/80's updates.

As far as the owner....WTF kind of idiot video tapes driving around looking for carboard to make templates, let lone puts it on the internet for the world to see?

this dude (in the video) is what we have always called a "dehorn". He is just creating the Barris lore out of thin air. Seems that some dipwads think the term BARRIS is generic for "early custom". He exhibits no respect for the car, and then takes up fifteen minutes documenting his search for cardboard with a little kid providing comic relief from the passenger side. PO'd because some company locked up their cardboard? Just because it's outside, doesn't mean its YOURS, dickweed.

I'm not a fan of the half-section either...mostly because it doesn't look proportional somehow.

I think he should stick to building forts out of cardboard, he seems better suited for simpleton chores.

Has suicide doors, a 350 sbc engine does not run he said that it has a Crazy exhaust that George made that come stacked out the back of the trunk.??? hmmm hard to believe but ok Mustang II front end..... no interior or floor.

he also said This will probably be your last time to own an original George Barris car. but he has no documentation except for a bunch of they told me , he told me , i was tols blah blah blah, I was also told the rear end is off a Lincoln Zephyr

Yeah i've seen pretty much all the photos in the shop that George shot from the early 50's to the late 70's at least once..and I have never seen that car anywhere not even at a show..in the video he said George built it back in the 50's of something like that.. well every car that George built in the 50's that was radical like that is pretty well documented at the shop.. sure there was a bunch of cars to got some mild custom treatment..that was not documented but something that with that much work would be documented..for sure!!!

    That guy has no idea...

I couldn't even let myself watch all of the video,... first off he is driving on of those scion craptastic boxtruck thing. And what made me turn it off was he was driving around looking for cardboard like it was this big covert operation" target has video cameras!" Yes they do... they also will give you all the cardboard you want you just have to go inside and ASK! Btw so will kohls and anywhere else that aquires a vast amount of cardboard in a day! Sorry but in my opinion most people are born with common sence... that guy wasn't!

I'm pretty sure this car is still around. I have pix of a black one that used to run around here in the Bay Area. haven't seen it in a while though....
