This project is approaching completion and needs a good quality radio to fill the stock dash. I'm not a restorer but this thing was so complete and rust free with low mileage on the 283 I've left it stock except for body color. It had a POS aftermarket thing in it when it came home with me and I am very surprised at how bad it really is. I won't even power it up because I couldn't stand to touch the ****py knobs that came with it. It'll be a daily driver/commuter, (15 min. each way) so the most I'll need is an AM-FM unit that will fit the holes. Can anybody steer me to the right source?
try here: http://www.casmfg.com/ or maybe find a 'core' radio to fill the hole and do what I did in my F1
get a stock AM radio off ebay or a swap meet, don't worry about whether or not it works, put it in the hole in the dash. Get an amplifier, put it in the trunk, put some speakers in the holes in the rear shelf package. Plug in your ipod....
Hello, I have several AM's for a stock look, but agree with Squirrel ,, put a stock in the dash and then Ipod in and rock away,, noone will know the diff,,
I'm putting a Kenwood KDC-395 radio inside an underdash 8 track.. I'm looking for a Muntz blue light..
