so i guess no one here would take it in a heartbeat huh? well that sucks, cause its a nice car, and it looks damn better like that than in the bottom of a lake bed, or rattle canned black with a half asses engine job, and snotty welds.

Threads like this are the main reason I haven't renewed my alliance membership for a few years.

You guys suck. New guy asks about a car he likes and you give no answers to his questions other than he sucks for not doing an intro. WTF?

Everyone wants to be the self appointed HAMB police.

There's other websites out there. I guess it's about time I wonder out there and have a look around. This site used to be full of information, not crappy replies to a legit question.

    See ya.
The guy asked pros and cons about a car he posted on his first post.
So guess what, he got pros and cons, and the request to show some respect and post an intro. What's wrong with that?
What did you bring to this party?
You did no better, you neither answered the guys questions, nor welcomed him to the board. So I guess you suck as well.

  15. There's a lot of well executed streetrod-type mods on that car. Congratulations. It's not a traditional hot rod. No apology. This is a traditional hot rod site.

I think its a really nice car, though I never understood why you want airbags on an open wheeled car, where there is no relation between the wheels and the fenders. Just seems pointless. Bags shouldn´t visible at all, if you must use them.

    wow..tuff room

I bet the guy that owns it has a blast in it.

and he probably has enough skill to not worry about what anyone on here has to say about it.

I guess it is true what they say about jealousy

I am nearly 70 so would someone explain to me "TRADITIONAL". For my simple mind it isn't a car or style but "back then" it was an attitude. I am sorry but for those of you who have a pen that writes checks for traditional trailer queens, "enjoy them. For me I'll swap stories with the rodders who still have scuffed knuckles or a little grease here and there. Oh as to that attitude, some of you wouldn't understand, we didn't "clone" or "tribute", we observed and adopted, adapted and tweeked those ideas we like and but mostly came up with our own. So rather than spend pages as totraditional or not, you either like it or not. For me I believe it to be a terrific example of craftsmanship and ingenuity. I LIKE IT and i don't give a rats behind what the rest of you think about traditional! AMEN

I'm not a mod but i do understand what Ryan is trying to do here. So just in case the reason might have gotten lost

The HAMB is dedicated to spreading the gospel of traditional hot rods and kustoms to hoodlums world wide. That’s right – TRADITIONAL. And we aren’t talking Beach Boys and poodle skirts here fellas. If you are into a-side 50’s pop, lawn chairs, ruler contests, and all things that make hot rodding warm and cozy then you might want to find another message board. If you aren’t sure what we mean by “traditional”, then you might think twice as well. If you’ve come here to set a rep, talk some shit, and make some fun then you had better turn around right now. We aren't patient.

Street rods are nice but they don't fit the board as Ryan has it set up.

I believe this will all end in a not very nice manner

hrmk2k-just so we understand each other up front. i an too old to be intimidated or run so i leave it to you. the whole point of my posting was the fact if we get so hung up on "traditional" that one(you) cannot look at this car and accept it as a "hot rod". then you may be correct one of us is confused about life! in the meantime have a great day!

The Guy who built it is obviously a novice and being the master, well documented builders that some of the critics on here are I'm sure he's taken note and will try to do better next time.

You're kidding right? That has to be some kind of joke. Here I'll even lift some of your own post to illustrate something.

"The HAMB is dedicated to spreading the gospel of traditional hot rods and kustoms to hoodlums world wide."

Now if the car in question isn't clearly a modern homage to 60's style show car customs then I don't know what is. And if the subtlety of my post got past you, I wasn't bagging on the Atomic Punk or the Ala Kart, merely trying to give a little perspective.

If you can't see past the high level of execution on this car and see what the own/builder (same guy supposedly) was going for (and in my opinion did a very good job) you're just not getting it.

I don't like every detail; The backing plates are pretty lame and I don't dig the long shifters, overdone and faddish in my opinion. But I'm not so near sighted to be unable to see past my own prejudices and enjoy the overall effect of what he accomplished with his car.

    Streetrod my ass.
