First question, did anyone here attend the large car auction in Mitchel,IN a couple yrs ago, and if so, how are your projects going? any pictures? Second question, in 1995 my grandfather p***ed away and grandmother had a farm auction and sold off all the junk cars behind the barn. This would have been near Heltonville,IN May of 95...I know there were some cars that could have been saved, just wondered if any are on this site. Thanks
I was at the Mitchell auction, did'nt buy anything but man that place was cool! Had a great time just going through everything that was there. Story I got was the old guy was paid to deliver new school buses out west and then would buy an old car on the cheap, use it for transportation home, and park it in the yard. Whether it was true or not, sure nakes a good story.
Yep, we had a blast. I didnt bring anything home either.. I really dont know if the bus story is true.. I do know that Mr. Waterson bought a few cars from my grandmas farm auction. Old 50 Ford, old Packard and several others. It was really cool to see these old cars again.. Sure wish I could locate where they are today..
