Here are some pics of the new hot rod project. The car was a restored stocker. In 1972 the barn it was in caught on fire and the car got some heat damage. It looks like after the fire it was pushed back inside and left there. Now I have it and it's time to resurrect it.Now all I have to do is take the body off and sell the rest and get to work.
You know if the fire damage scares ya off you can send it to me and I'll "make due" with it. Seriously, great start, I want a coupe sometime in my life
Damn, thats too nice to hack up..........HAHAHAHAHAHAH! Just kidding. I would have started chopping it before it was off the trailer.
Most difficult decision now..........How many inches off the top? Lots of great options with that one, Good luck!
****! That thing looks JUST like one I know of. I read your description and just knew it was the same car- same story. I mean exaclty and it looks just like it!!! ....until I saw the TX plates. wow! same damage area, in a burned barn......etc. thanks for sharing
looks like a great start,i bet the restorers will be lining up for the left overs from your build. You going to run the fenders or no?
Nice score! Im jealous.. Are you going to be different and paint it flat black and put whitewalls with red steelies? Ha Ha Ha.. Whats the latest on the Clay`s 54 chop? Gidderdone....
I don't know what happened to my pics.It will be flat pink with purple wheels!Hey Reed the chop is done I'm finishing the tail lights and welding up the millions of trim holes.I've got to get more pics.No fenders on this one either. It will be chopped and channeled with a flathead.
Damn nice starter, looks to have very little rust (other than the obvious surface stuff)...good find! Look forward to picks of the build.
JAime so glad you found a Coupe. Cant wait to see what you have in store for it. I am sure it is gonna be Killer. Good luck and if there is anything you need just let us know. Definately keep us posted on the progress.
