I did use the search function and found some pics here and there. I am looking for some ideas on using leather straps to help hold my hood top down. Would like ot see some close up, and or cool ways to strap down.. Thanks for the help. Below are some ideas. But looking for close ups.
I found this company that sells those straps, this might help you out. http://www.hotrodleather.com/index.php/exterior/hood-straps.html
done miss the great article in this months (October 2011) issue of Street Rodder magazine on this topic...
Yeah. Eric makes a great product at a really great price. I forget his screen name but he's on here.....somewhere.
Here's a variation on the theme. Not super close up but I think you'll get the idea. I've seen those "scissor springs" or whatever the hell you call them for sale online somewhere...??? I have advanced CRS, so maybe someone else can chime in. I kinda thought having some spring action in the ***embly would be a good idea.
Not the best pic...I picked up a couple of cheap belts at the Dollar Store and riveted around the loops & springs. I kept the original hood hold downs...I'll put the hood sides on during inclimate weather.
