Hello all, Just about finished installing the Fatman stub on my original '51 Stude frame and started thinking bout the back half. Has anyone had any experience with the Morrison tri-4 set up? Thanks for any help.

Morrison's stuff is incredible. You will not be disappointed.

  4. heres my take on morrisons rear suspension,

the shop i used to work for ordered a ch***is from them for a car they wanted to bag, they informed us that it was impossible to run bags on their triangulated rear 4 link, and we would have to use a parallel setup with a panhard. i said, hey, thats gonna make the rear wheels get dangerously close to rubbing the inner fenders when layed, or fully lifted cause the panhard they use is about 18" long. they said, "no we have never had that problem before" so we got the ch***is, put the body on and sure enough, it hit, so i cut the rear suspension all apart and just built a triangulated setup of my own design that works.

so basically, im saying build your own. morrisons stuff looks real pretty and it will work for most people, but for the money, i build my own.

morrisions stuff is rather lightweight also, which is nice in one aspect, but not so nice when faced with pothole covered roads.

Thx for the information. I will be using coil overs and not bags. Gonna drive it, not sit and look at. Thx again.

The tri 4 is a bit loose, the parallel is good for a stiffer ride that you can beat up on

Sorry for the delay in the reply. Check out the tech area of webrodder.com. They have a two part install of the fatman stub on a '50 stude, pics included. It is far better than I could do. If you still want soem pics of mine, let me know. The fatman stub goes on pretty straight forward.
