Although not a hotrod....I think it's gonna be one cool ride when done(end of Nov. 2008)
Just finished the ch***is yesterday....will be putting the load-bed back this week....then for the cab remake & the doors..all in wood....
    Enjoy

Were the doors originally wood? I'm not real familiar with DB trucks THAT new. I know most of the older DB or GB trucks had custom made bodies. Any Body Manuf. tag on yours? probably too late for Bab****? BTW, you are doing nice work.

Well, back then you could basically do what you liked to the "body" I guess....folks back then had them made anyway they wanted to over here.My dad still has his 1932 International Woodie pick-up(still needs to be re-done) on which my great grand-dad did the wood work.Luckily it still has most of it intact.
We did a search on late 1930's Dodge woodies & the owner gave us an idea of what he wanted,so I designed the entire thing myself & the owner approved.
Just finishing the last door(driver-side{righthanddrive}) off now. Then it's up onto the ch***is & will be bolted down later today.
    Cheers

Thanx. The wood work kept me busy for about a month, from designing to fab to fit.
Can't wait to see it all done.

  18. do you have a pic of the front sheetmetal ? I have an old studio truck from the 30's but can't pin the year down and yours looks real close.

Cool truck. It was sold new as a cowl and ch***is and the rest was coachworks built. If you lived closer I would have you do mine. It was of course factory built.
